ARC Liquor | Terms and Conditions - SMS

By opting into our SMS service for ARC Liquor, you confirm that you are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages and agree to receive liquor product information and promotional text messages from ARC Liquor. These messages may help you learn more about products, promotions, recommendations, and special offers that may be of interest to you. As always, please drink responsibly.

You have the right to cancel the SMS service at any time. To unsubscribe, simply text “STOP” to the phone number provided. Once we receive your “STOP” request, we will send you an SMS confirming your unsubscribe status. After that confirmation, you will no longer receive promotional text messages or product recommendations from us.

If you experience any issues with our messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” to receive further assistance. Alternatively, you may contact our support team at kls@armstrong.coop or call the store at (236) 420-4060.

Please note that wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undeliverable messages. Standard message and data rates may apply for both incoming and outgoing messages, depending on your mobile plan.

Armstrong Regional Co-op Membership Terms & Conditions

Important: In this document, “Co-op” refers to Armstrong Regional Co-op. The following Terms and Conditions form part of the online Application for Membership in the Co-op. Acceptance of membership constitutes an agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions, as they may be amended from time to time by the Co-op without notice.

Membership

The ability to apply for membership in the Co-op is open to any person, individual, or entity who meets the following eligibility criteria:

  • If an individual, is of eligible age as stated in the Co-op’s bylaws;
  • Purchases at least one common share of the Co-op with a par value of $10.00 (“Membership Share”);
  • Submits to the Co-op:
    • a completed Application for Membership; and
    • payment for the Membership Share at the time of submission of the Application for Membership.

By submitting the Application for Membership, you certify that all information supplied is true and complete.

Payment

Payment for the Membership Share must accompany your Application for Membership and must be made in Canadian Dollars by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. The Co-op has engaged Moneris Solutions (“Moneris”) as its online payment solution provider. Moneris collects the name and credit information submitted with your Application for Membership and maintains ownership of that information. Moneris does not sell personal information that it collects. By submitting your personal information with your Application for Membership, you consent to such transfer and storage. Please review the Moneris privacy policy for more information. The Co-op is not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss suffered by you in connection with Moneris’ privacy policy, website content, or handling of personal information.

Approval of Membership

Membership in the Co-op is subject to the approval of the Co-op’s Board of Directors in accordance with the Co-op’s rules and bylaws. Upon approval, you will receive notification by email at the address provided in your Application for Membership. A membership account will then be set up in your name and your name added to the list of members of the Co-op.

While the Board of Directors has the power to refuse any application for membership without assigning a reason, and without limiting that power, the Co-op reserves the right to refuse membership to any applicant. Membership may also be terminated at the Co-op’s discretion, without cause, including for failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the bylaws, or abuse of membership privileges.

Co-op Bylaws

The bylaws are the rules and regulations enacted by the Co-op which govern its operations and management. Your membership, if accepted, and your continued membership, are conditional upon compliance with the bylaws of the Co-op, which may be amended from time to time in accordance with the governance process set out in the bylaws. Please contact the Co-op if you would like to review the bylaws or have questions about them.

If there is any conflict or discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and the bylaws, the bylaws of the Co-op will take precedence.

Changes to Personal or Contact Information

If your Application for Membership is accepted, it is your sole responsibility to immediately notify the Co-op of any changes to your personal or contact information, including your mailing address and email address. The Co-op shall not be responsible for any misdirected, lost, or delayed communications resulting from your failure to provide notice of such changes.

Privacy and Use of Information

The Co-op respects your privacy and will administer the personal information provided in your Application for Membership in accordance with its privacy policies and related practices. Personal information is collected and used for purposes such as communication, administering membership programs, opening and maintaining your membership account, complying with legal and regulatory requirements, research and marketing purposes, and informing you about products and services by mail, telephone, email, or other means.

The Co-op is also a member of Federated Co-operatives Limited (“FCL”) and may disclose personal information to FCL for accounting, rebate processing, research, and marketing purposes. FCL may in turn disclose that information to third parties with whom it has agreements for data collection and processing. Other than disclosure to FCL for those purposes, the Co-op will not disclose your personal information without your consent, except where permitted or required by law.

You may withdraw your consent for the use of your information by the Co-op unless legal requirements prevent this. Please note that withdrawal of consent may mean that the Co-op is unable to provide some or all of the services you would otherwise receive. You may access your personal information, request corrections, or ask questions by contacting the Co-op’s Privacy Officer in writing. Please review the Co-op’s privacy policy for more information.
